Hello,

I have just heard of the W3C proposal to endorse standards based on
the payment of fees.  I believe that this is a bad idea.  The effect
of this would be to entrench the power of a few major players.  The
small players would lose their chance to innovate.  It will slow
down the development of the Web if this proposal gets up.
