This is a good suggestion -- but then, why not just watch for the
proposed "columns" and "column-rule" properties on the DIV element?

It should be just as easy to check for these in a STYLE attribute
for now, and the big advantage will be that documents won't need
to be all changed when this is handled using CSS.
