Although I'm not experienced enough to answer your question regarding
the binding, I can answer this one.  Yes, you have the right forum.
Since xforms are still quite new and not widely used, you might have to
wait a little while before someone with enough experience in that area
sees your message and drafts a reply.

Hi,

Was this the wrong list to post my question? I was just looking for some
pointers on creating simple types for xforms, i.e. how to create a type
in an xsd file and use it directly in the xforms model binding. I think
the snippet I posted was more or less correct, but I'm not 100% sure.
