At the risk of starting another rat-hole-diving discussion... I assume that even if we are not providing a DTD for XHTML 2's content model, we will still need to have a DTD to declare named entities? And if so, are we requiring / permitting the use of such a DTD as part of a DOCTYPE declaration in the document? And if THAT is so, what does it mean for validation? -- Shane P.
