@foolip - When the bot doesn't comment, I have to assume w3c-test.org was down, not accepting requests, or the disk was full. I have not seen an instance of the script erroring out so far. I don't have access to that server, so I can't check. The best thing to do is to try to catch these closer to the event and ask @sideshowbarker to check the logs.
