I would like to point everyone to this IMO very relevant lecture by Mike
Amundsen (@mamund) - http://youtu.be/UkAt9XSOfaE (total: 1:08:40)

Towards the end of this video he even talks about ActivityStreams,
Schema.org and Profile Link Relation, also mentioning James Snell and
Tantek Çelik.

I also noticed this video linked from one of Google Developers
instructional videos - Build a Small Knowledge Graph Part 3 of 3:

Personally I would find it very interesting to learn how LDP relates to
Hypermedia (searching for this term in http://www.w3.org/TR/ldp/ gives 0
results). I see at least 4 participants of this group acknowledged in
LDP spec, we all have a great luck with abundance of expertise present
here :)
