There's a couple of parsers that have been written for it.

One tool is Philip Taylor's:
   http://philip.html5.org/demos/microdata/demo.html

Another is James Graham's:
   http://james.html5.org/microdata/

They are both experimental (they were both written in just a few hours 
within about 24 hours of the microdata spec's first draft being written), 
so it's quite possible that they have bugs.
