Mark, I may have misunderstood. My understanding from Ben's mail is that
there is a difference that goes beyond the behaviour of @instanceof. In
Ben's mail:


he says:

1) Mark's proposal is a *significant* change from what we've been
discussing over the last few weeks. A lot of simple cases work the same
way, but a number of more complex cases change fairly radically.

and this is _regardless_ of the @instanceof behaviour. And your 'hanging
@rel' explanation did underline that there _is_ a difference. Did I get
it wrong?
