Variable names and NCNAMES

At the moment, variables are NCNAMES.  As this includes "-" and ".", it can 
become confusing in numeric expressions.

"?x-2.5" is legal SPARQL and is a single variable, not an expression "?x - 2.5"

I propose removing "-" and "." from variable names.
