Nice Idea.

I am Merrick Schaefer a technical project manager at UNICEF. I have been at
UNICEF for five years and the last three have been focused on tech for
change related projects in the mobile and social networking space. My
current project is a large m-health project in Malawi and Zambia focused on
improving clinic services for pregnant mothers and infants. We have been
working closely with the Ministries of Health to create replicable,
appropriate systems that are cost effective and can scale and working with
local programmers so the projects are sustainable after our team steps away.
We blog about it here: http://projectmwana.posterous.com/

I was one of the original members of the team that created RapidSMS
http://www.rapidsms.org/ and am currently working within the community to
define the roadmap of where we want to take the framework.

I also attended and presented at the inaugural W3C conference for this group
in Brazil in 2008.
