Self introduction

Hi all,

I have been working at W3C since 2005. My main area is
Internationalization [1]. I am the staff contact for the i18n ITS IG
[2]. In the i18n core WG [3], I am putting effort in the review of XML-
and RDF-related specifications, looking for i18n related issues. I also
have been working in the Web Services Activity, as part of the Web
Services Policy Working Group [4].

Before I joined W3C I finished a phd [5] in Bielefeld (Germany). The
topic was the relation between textual, mostly XML-based data, and
Metadata, represented in RDF. During that time I gathered some
experience also in ontology building and knowledge engineering. My main
application area (and still a major area of interest, see other
publications [6]) is multilingual data representation and processing,
using ontological or other means to bridge the differences betweeen the
languages.

For the curious ones, I am not Japanese ... but my wife is, and I took
her last name. My former German name was Müller, so it was not a real
loss ...

Felix
