Have you tried to implement RDFa or are you willing to try?

Quick search into Mozilla Bugzilla.

# Both rdfa and microdata lead to nothing
   https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=rdfa
   https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=microdata

# Microformat gives information.
   https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=microformat
   specifically
   https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377450

I do not see a lot of support for microdata so far
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22microdata+support%22
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22microdata+implementation%22

rdfa has gained a lot of traction
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22rdfa+support%22
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22rdfa+implementation%22

as microformats too.
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22microformat+support%22
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22microformat+implementation%22

ps: microdata is an ambiguous name http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdata
