Re: Questions related to "Add support for default values without the need of an instance element"

All,

By coincidence I already named the attribute initial-value on the wiki 
page.

But I  have a problem trying to convert this new feature to a canonical 
XForms, because:

  - Due to the negative answer on question 'gets reinforced when set to 
empty' you can't use a simple calculate with an if in the expression
  - And if we can't use a calculate how can you enforce the initial value 
when a node is inserted? The xforms-insert Event gives you context info, 
but enough to identify the initial value(s).

I hope I'm overlooking something...
