@dr-shorthair , I personally don't question the use of `prof:wasGeneratedBy` to say that a given dataset is the output of a given project / activity. As you say, we need to understand whether the link to the funding should or not be attached directly with the dataset (which I personally think should be useful). I would also say that the question, in such a case, is whether such link should point to the funding agency or to the funded grant (as per @smrgeoinfo comment). In either cases, this property should be in addition to `prov:wasGeneratedBy`, and not replacing it.
