Kristian, Manu, Mohamed,

Thank you for providing information about your Community Groups. Our system is now up and running:

As a reminder:

 * While these URIs/resources are public, we are not broadcasting the URIs loudly during the beta.
 * We welcome your feedback, bug reports etc. on public-council@w3.org. Please note that we do not have all the features in place that we plan to have at launch or shortly thereafter (such as self-publishing).

Each group has the following tools to start off:

 * A home page. Let's take XML Performance for this example:

 * A blog (available through "add new post" on that page). The home page news for each group is made up of blog posts as well as posts from other external feeds that you would like us to aggregate here.
 * A wiki
 * Four mailing lists
 * An RSS feed

To learn about these tools (and why four mailing lists), see:

Now you need to get participants in your group. All participants must "join" the group (the big button on the right of the group's home page).

You may be asking: How can I get people to join without sharing this information? Of course, please do share it but please do not broadcast it. Please ask your future participants to do the same.

Functionality that is not yet plugged in is described here:

I will be on vacation 1-8 July. I also expect many in the systems team will also be unavailable through 4 July. Feel free to send your messages to this list and we'll attend to them as quickly as possible.

Lastly, I will be blogging about this today (but without a URI for the home page of the system).

Thank you, and let me know how the system works for you. :)
