MIDI proposal implemented

Hey there group!

I just found out that the proposal I made some time ago (and in which I
believe me and Chris Wilson will be somewhat basing our spec), has (for
most parts) been implemented using Java:

So, we have an experimental implementation already!  We should probably
start drafting a spec soon, too. :)
