RE: PSO General Assembly

Dear Andrew,

In fact I have sent on behalf of the Protocol Council an invitation to Mr.
Stuart Lynn
on 24.04.02 (please, see the attached email).
As on the 31st of May 2002 there was no reply, the Protocol Council
discussed
this issue again and on the moment of the discussion it was
not clear whether somebody from ICANN will attend PSO GA or not.
I would like to thank you very much again for accepting to give
a status report and update presentation on ICANN's reform during the
upcoming GA.

Looking forward to meet you next week,

Vladimir

Vladimir:

I noticed the following note in the PSO minutes for 31 May:

Brian invited Helmut to make an update on the ICANN activites during
the PSO General Assembly, as the ICANN CEO Mr. S. Lynn and the ICANN
Secretariat for the time being did not respond to the invitation of
the Protocol Council and it is not clear whether he will attend this
  event...

As far as I can tell, the ICANN staff got no invitation to the PSO GA.
Could you please re-forward it, just so I can try to figure out where the
communication gap is occurring? As you know, I'm planning to attend the GA
next week, and plan to give a status report and update presentation on ICANN
reform.

Thanks & see you soon.

Dear Stuart,

On behalf of the PSO Protocol Council I have a pleasure to invite you to the
General Assembly of the PSO that will take place in ITU Headquarters,
Geneva,
on Wednesday, 19th of June 2002, starting at 16h00 CET.
The PSO General Assembly will take place in conjunction with the
ITU-T Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group Meeting, which is
held twice a year. (http://www.itu.int/ITU-T/tsag/index.html)
The Protocol Council would like to include on the agenda an update on the
ICANN structure and other developments and we feel that it would be
appropriate for such an update to come directly from the ICANN CEO
taking into consideration the ongoing ICANN Reform.
Thank you very much for considering this issue,

Sincerely yours,
Vladimir

PSO Secretary
