Re: At-Large Study Committee draft report

Dear Vladimir, dear PSO PC colleagues,

Further to the message sent to Mrs Denise by Vladimir on behalf of all of
us, I think that we should also send a reply to Mr Carlt Bild (ALSC Chair)
who invited us by a message on the 16 July (nearly 2 months ago!!) to send
our replies to their Discussion Paper, the ones we were not able to find a
consensus text.

According to my notes of yesterday teleconference, I think that we agreed to
answer something like that (subject to "language polishing" by a native
English speaker):

"The PSO PC has been working on the ALSC Discussion Paper which we received
on 16th July. Considering that the PSO PC likes to keep its replies strictly
within the PSO charter, it has not being possible to get a consensus reply
on time. Now the final draft report regarding At Large Membership has been
drawn to our attention and therefore we consider that the previous request
has been undertaking by events. We have requested Mrs Denise Michel to
indicate to us the deadline for the PSO-PC comments to the final draft in
order to fit your framework but please do not expect any statement outside
the scope of the PSO-PC".

In my opinion, this answer "closes the circle" and clears up outstanding
actions.

I was thinking last night that I hope that nobody in ICANN suggests e.g. to
reduce the PSO representation in the ICANN Board to one seat or even none as
we will be unable to react to this nonsense without breaking our "own
torturing rule" of not commenting on ICANN structure as it is outside our
charter.

Kind regards,
Azucena
