http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8962 Summary: Page column rule Product: XSLFO Version: 2.0 Working Draft Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: XSL-FO Requirements AssignedTo: xsl-editors@w3.org ReportedBy: john.cavalieri@gmail.com QAContact: xsl-editors@w3.org Can we add semantics for a column gap rule to the new spec? FYI, There are a couple work arounds like using a background image and also this method described on the XEP support list: http://services.renderx.com/lists/xep-support/2202.html CSS3 Multi-Column has the following defined, so it would be convenient to use the same attribute names. (http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-multicol/) 4. Column gaps and rules * 4.1. ‘column-gap’ * 4.2. ‘column-rule-color’ * 4.3. ‘column-rule-style’ * 4.4. ‘column-rule-width’ * 4.5. ‘column-rule’ If we wanted to be fancier, maybe we could consider the ability to use an image. Similar to border-image (http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/WD-css3-border-20021107/#the-border-image) Thanks for considering this enhancement. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
