Inheritance

The current model of inheritance is tied to the structure of an FO document. A top-level fo:block inherits from fo:page-sequence and fo:root.

Has any thought been given as to whether logical inheritance through page-masters and region-masters might also be desirable?

This would not be unprecedented - the behaviour of markers is already similar.
