Hi, It would be interesting if the content-model of fo:footnote would be "(inline,footnote-body?)". That way there could be more than one citation to the same footnote, which is something that can occur in technical documents. Note that, for example, the DocBook DTD provides the elements Footnote and FootnoteRef to express that concept.
