Hi again! I'm not sure of the justification of the statement: "There is no guarantee that a generated unique identifier will be distinct from any unique IDs specified in the source document." since the implementer could review any pre-existing ID-typed attribute values in the built tree and avoid such values when ascribing generate-id() values. Is this something that could be changed such that there *is* a guarantee? Thanks! .............. Ken -- G.
