Martin,

The XML Protocol WG has decided to close issue 267 [1] raised by you by
adding a note in SOAP 1.2 part 2, section 3.1.2 saying:

	Note that certain Unicode characters cannot be represented
	in XML (see [XML 1.0]). 

If you cannot accept this resolution then please send your concerns to
the xml-dist-app@w3.org mailing list [3] indicating the issue number of
the issue in the subject.
