Invalid URN in examples

FYI...

In "Namespaces in XML 1.1" (http://www.w3.org/TR/xml-names11/), there are a few examples that include this IRI: "urn:loc.gov:books". According to "2.1 Namespace Identifier Syntax" of "URN Syntax" (http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2141.txt), this is an invalid URN since the Namespace Identifier contains a period.
