Namespaces 1.1 - "Motivation and Summary"

I would suggest that the introductory section in "Motivation and Summary" be 
redrafted.

The second sentence of paragraph 1 is unclear and the flow of ideas in the 
introductory section would be better if that sentence were deleted and the first 
sentence of paragraph 1 were followed by the first sentence in paragraph 2.

One motivation is mentioned in the text. If there is a plural number of 
motivations what are the other motivations and why aren't they stated?

Reference is also made to "element names". The terms used in the XML 1.0 Rec 
is "element type" or "element type name". Wouldn't it be better to use terms 
consistently between W3C specifications?
