Registration for XML Encryption March 1

The logistic and registration form for the March 1st XML Encryption FTF is
now available:
        http://www.w3.org/2001/02/allgroupoverview.html
        http://cgi.w3.org/Register/selectUser.pl?_w3c_meetingName=techplenary2001

SIMPLE EXPLAINATION (If you want to attend Encryption only):

If you want to participate in the XML Encryption meeting, follow the steps,
and when you get to step 4 indicate:
1. if you're from a Member Organization
2. you will not attend any meetings Mon/Tues.
3. you will not attend the Wednsday plenary; select food preferences.
4. you will attend the Thur/Fri block of meetings and that you will attend
the Encryption Thursday meeting as a WG/IG member -- Encryption is Thursday
only, you can leave Thursday evening if you don't have participant or
observer status in any of the other WGs.

LONGER EXPLAINATION (if you want to attend other meetings):

Please note that this meeting will happen as part of a larger Technical
Plenary which is akin an IETF meeting. However, the important difference is
that most W3C WGs do not have full public/open participation: Encryption is
one of the exceptions. Also, even if you are not a WG member, you may
request to be an observer to a meeting but that is completely at the
discretion of the chair and will likely be dependent on his/her knowledge of
you or your participation in related WGs.

Consequently, in step 4 please take note of the follow three issues:

1. Those that wish to participate in the XML Encryption WG but are not
members in good standing of other W3C WGs should indicate:

>[X] I am neither the representative of a Member Organization nor an Invited
>Expert, and thus have no obligations regarding member confidentiality.
>(Note: This may prevent you from observing certain group meetings.)

If you are you a member of another W3C WG you should default to values
appropriate to those WGs.

2. If you only want to participate in the XML Encryption WG, you'll note
that since this Activity is not been formally approved yet, it is not listed
in the list of Active WGs. HOWEVER, in the next section you must indicate
that you will be attending the Thur/Fri Meetings and that you will be a
WG/IG member for the single day (Thur March 1) Encryption Meeting.

3. You should also indicate whether you wish to attend the Wednesday Plenary
meeting which is open to all folks who are attending any session on
Monday/Tures or Thur/Fri including the Encryption. I believe space for this
is tight and this is *not* a requirement for XML Encryption, but is more for
folks concerned with issues/dependencies across a number of WGs.

Sorry this is a bit tricky, feel free to contact me with any questions.
