The undersigned are engaged in offerings that enable SOAP to flow over messaging systems that expose the Java Messaging Service API. As part of the SOAP 1.2 binding, we find a strong need for a simple "one-way" message exchange pattern as this is a very common pattern in messaging systems. We understand that the XMLP working group is currently considering whether to define such a message exchange pattern. We would certainly make use of this pattern, if it were defined, and encourage the working group to publish it.
