Bjoern, You raised an issue against the "Assigning Media Types to Binary Data in XML" Last Call WD [1] in your email at [2]. This was accepted by the WSD WG [3] as issue 257 [4]. The WG closed this issue by not making any changes to the document. The WG felt that the statement in itself does make sense and that this document was following precedent set by other specifications (see [5], [6]). Thanks and regards. -Anish Karmarkar On behalf of the WSD WG -- [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-xml-media-types-20041102/ [2] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-ws-media-types/2004Nov/0000.html [3] http://www.w3.org/2002/ws/desc/ [4] http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/%7Echeckout%7E/2002/ws/desc/issues/wsd-issues.html#x257 [5] http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/REC-soap12-part1-20030624/#notation [6] http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-wsdl20-20040803/#notation
