Hello, My name is Patrick Thompson. I will be Rogue Wave's alternate representative to the Protocol Working Group. Murali Janakiraman will be our primary rep. Together, we will bring our experience in building SOAP based infrastructure, including our XML-DB Link and XML-CORBA Link products. I am Director of Architecture for Rogue Wave's Infrastructure Products division. I've been in the industry for 15 years. Prior to joining Rogue Wave in 1994 I worked for Bell Northern Research and Nortel. My interests are in OO, component models, distributed computing, and XML. I am Rogue Wave's W3C AC representative and our OMG representative. In the OMG I co-authored the CORBA Component Model and the XML to Valuetype mapping. specifications. Most recently I was involved with the SOAP/CORBA mapping discussion paper. I look forward to working with this talented group. -Patrick --- Patrick Thompson Director of Architecture Rogue Wave Software, Inc. thompson@roguewave.com office: (541) 754-3189 mobile: (541) 760-3595
