I consider myself very fortunate that Index Data and I are doing some work for this incredible venture, and I can add that I feel extremely confident that there will be good support for Z39.50, SRW, and SRU as well as other metadata access mechanisms in fairly short order. I'd urge anyone here to check out the OCA and the Internet Archive.. these people have done amazing stuff, and they're about to do much, much more of it.
