We are testing a Z39.50 server and client. If we ask for a record to our 
server, we don't have any kind of problem; but when we try to retrieve 
records from other servers, they don't assume any standardised character 
set: ISO 8859-1, Unicode+UTF8, etc. Do you know the reason, and, of 
course, the solution?
On the other hand, we are not able to convert retrieved records into a 
ISO 2709 structure. We don't know the reason.
