I've just posted version 1.0 of the Bib-2 Attribute Set at http://www.nlc-bnc.ca/iso/z3950/bib-2_home.htm This has been a long time in development. Thanks to Lennie Stovel who started the work in 1998 and worked with me as reviewer and advisor after I foolishly agreed to take over as editor in July 2000. Also thanks to Joe Zeeman, now at TLC but long-time technical advisor to NLC staff on protocol issues who gave me early background on the mysteries of the "New" Attribute Architecture. Ralph LeVan, Ray Denenberg and Mark Needleman critiqued the work in progress and found gaping holes in the document logic - which hopefully are now filled. Jan Gatenby provided us with her expertise gained as editor of ISO 8459. Liv Holm, Hogskolan i Oslo and Joe Altimus, RLG contributed their expertise in UNIMARC. And Mike Taylor and Rob Sanderson gave enthusiastic support for drafts 8, 9 & 10, giving me some hope that this wasn't just an interesting intellectual exercise:-) Thanks to all!
