Dear Subscribers, I am about to undertake a very large bibliographical search for printed books and manuscripts from c. 1470 to c.1800 on a particular subject. I have all of the keywords and authors names etc. which I will use. I would like to carry out this search using all the major on-line catalogues of all the major European and American research libraries, e.g Library of Congress, Vaticano (Rome), Bibliotheque Nationale (Paris), British LIbrary, Bodleian, Berlin Munich etc.... I would like to be able to export all of the references (INCLUDING THEIR SHELFMARKS) I find in all of these catalogues into a database - probably Procite, or possibly Endnote. I would be extremely grateful for any comments and suggestions any memebers feel they can make which might help make this easier on everyone involved. In particular I am thinking it might be a good idea to have a contact with someone conversant with Z39.50 in each of the major research libraires of the world. thank you Martin Porter Dr. Martin Porter Senior Lecturer Danish Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities Vimmelskaftet 41 A, 2 DK 1161 Copenhagen K Phone +4535323920 Fax +4535323915
