Yes, if you want marc21 authority the oid would be 1.2.840.10003.5.10.2 The confusion I think is that the oid 1.2.840.10003.5.10 (unqualified) points to the authority page in the reference column. I've corrected that. --Ray Mark Reichert wrote: > Look further down the page: > > Record Syntax Object Identifiers for Specific MARC Formats > The following registration scheme for specific MARC formats was approved at > the March 1999 ZIG meeting. > For each general MARC format listed above, the following specific formats > are automatically registered, subordinate to the object identifier for the > general format, 1.2.840.10003.5.1 through 1.2.840.10003.5.30: > 1.. bibliographic > 2.. authority > 3.. holdings > 4.. community information > 5.. classification > Thus for example for USMARC, the following are registered: > Object Identifier Name Reference > 1.2.840.10003.5.10.1 USMARC bibliographic USMARC Concise Format for > Bigliographic Data > 1.2.840.10003.5.10.2 USMARC authority USMARC Concise Format for > Authority Data > 1.2.840.10003.5.10.3 USMARC holdings USMARC Concise Format for > Holdings Data > 1.2.840.10003.5.10.4 USMARC community information USMARC Concise > Format for Community Information > 1.2.840.10003.5.10.5 USMARC classification USMARC Concise Format for > Classification Data > > When the general object identifier (e.g. 1.2.840.10003.5.10) is used it > identifies the general MARC format (e.g. USMARC) and the specific format is > unspecified.
