In the z39.50r URL as specified in RFC 2056, you can't specify _any_ search, AA-compliant or not. All you can do is specify a record by its unique ID. That's part of the reason for the work-in-progress revision at http://www.gils.net/z-url.txt which I thought someone had mailed to the list, but which I can't find in the archive at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-zig/2002Apr/ so I assume it must have been sent directly to me. I don't think there's a problem with specifying an AA-compliant search using the extended URLs proposed by that document. _/|_ _______________________________________________________________ /o ) \/ Mike Taylor <mike@miketaylor.org.uk> www.miketaylor.org.uk )_v__/\ "Welcome to Mousebat, Follicle, Goosecreature, Ampersand, Spong, Whapcaplet, Looseliver, Vendetta and Prang ..." -- Monty Python.
