There will indeed be a ZIG meeting October 3-5 (as set at the December meeting) in the UK, at Boston Spa. There also will possibly be an August meeting, in conjunction with IFLA, in Boston. The October meeting would be a "regular" ZIG meeting of the sort we've had for the past couple years -- focus sessions, a plenary, current awareness, maybe a tutorial, and perhaps in addition, items that would result from the August meeting. Also, it might include items of particular interest to UK folks (as the meeting will be in the UK and we expect a large UK turnout) and items of interest to our hosts, BL and UKOLN. The August meeting that we have in mind would be a more focused meeting, 1-2 days, dealing with the future of Z39.50. However, the August meeting is tentative, pending expressions of interest, and a host. So if you have interest in an August meeting, speak up, and paticularly if you want to volunteer to host it (in Boston). --Ray -- Ray Denenberg Library of Congress rden@loc.gov 202-707-5795
