I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find software (commercial or open source) to act as a Z39.50 Proxy. I would like to install this software on a UNIX platform so that we can authenticate Z39.50 clients by IP Address and then pass their connections on to the various Z39.50 servers we subscribe to. The only other way to authenticate would be to provide a single username and password to every library in our consortium so that they can search the vendor's remotely hosted database. I have searched through the archive and there was a posting similar to my request on September 21, 2000, but there were no replies. Any information or advice you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks, Brandon *********************************** Brandon Gant, Network Engineer Planning & Budgeting - University of Illinois (217) 244-7471 bgant@uillinois.edu ***********************************
