Z Texas Profile Release 2.0 Available

The Texas Z39.50 Implementors Group (TZIG)  is issuing the _Z Texas
Profile: A Z39.50 Specification for Library Systems Applications in
Texas,
Release 2.0._ 

Release 2.0 is available at:

This release is a major revision of the original Z Texas Profile,
Release
1.0 issued in April, 1999. Release 2.0 harmonizes the Z Texas Profile
with
the _Bath Profile: An International Z39.50 Specification for Library
Applications and Resource Discovery, Release 1.1_ (Available at:  
<http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/interop-focus/bath/current/>)

The Z Texas Profile, Release 2.0., builds upon the core specifications
provided by the Bath Profile, and proposes additional specifications
required by local needs (e.g., defining Library of Congress Subject
Heading searches) not addressed by the Bath Profile.

The Z Texas Profile will be revised as necessary to maintain
compatibility
with the Bath Profile and to accommodate local needs.
