Directory Listing

Hello everyone,
I am doing a directory of doctors with 3 columns on a page.
The directory is listed first with the specialty, then doctors practising the specialty and then the locations for each doctor.
Everything is fine except that in certain cases, the specialty is the last block of a column.
Is there anyway to make sure that each specialty begins on a new column. Any help will be appreciated.
