Siblings

XPATH defines the preceding-sibling  and following-sibling  axes using the term "sibling". However, I am unable to find a defintion of the term "sibling".

Now everyone knows (or thinks they know) what a sibling is but isn't this a bit of a hole in the specification?

Did I miss something?
