I agree some visual character such as '~' would be much more clear. The current '//' notation associates some meaning to the absence of a step between the separators. It much easier to accociate meaning to the presence of something (such '~') than the absence of something ('//'). The other thing that is ugly is that you can't just say '//' without providing step after the last slash. Its strange to provide an abbreviation that requires a subsequent token. Craig Salter
