Minus zero

I received no response to my message of 13 Dec 1999.

The message essentially asked: should "-0.0" be given the intuitive meaning,
which is negative zero, or should we follow what the spec actually says,
which is that "-" means subtraction, and therefore unary minus means
subtraction from zero, and therefore "-0.0" means positive zero?

Currently different products do this differently.
