http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=9539 Summary: Assertion error reporting Product: XML Schema Version: 1.1 only Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Datatypes: XSD Part 2 AssignedTo: David_E3@VERIFONE.com ReportedBy: mike@saxonica.com QAContact: www-xml-schema-comments@w3.org CC: cmsmcq@blackmesatech.com A Saxonica client wrote today asking for facilities to specify the error message that should be produced when validation against an assertion fails. I was able to point him in the direction of Saxon's extension in this area, documented here: http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/schema-processing/extensions11/saxon.message.html The client commented that it would be extremely useful to have this as a standard facility in the spec. Note that Saxon makes this available on all facets, not only xs:assert. It can be very useful, for example, on the xs:pattern facet. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
