http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=2124 Summary: R-135: Question about surrogate characters in F.1.1 Product: XML Schema Version: 1.0 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: XSD Part 2: Datatypes AssignedTo: cmsmcq@w3.org ReportedBy: sandygao@ca.ibm.com QAContact: www-xml-schema-comments@w3.org F.1.1 rightly disallows \p{Cs} on the basis that surrogate characters "do not occur at the level of the "character abstraction" that XML instance documents operate on." On the same basis, shouldn't IsHighSurrogates, IsHighPrivateUseSurrogates and IsLowSurrogates also be disallowed within \p{} and \P{}?
