http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=1884 Summary: R-96: Problem with scope property of attributes Product: XML Schema Version: 1.0 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: XSD Part 1: Structures AssignedTo: ht@w3.org ReportedBy: sandygao@ca.ibm.com QAContact: www-xml-schema-comments@w3.org An attribute declaration may be local to an attribute group definition, in which case its scope is specified as *absent*. But when the group is referenced in a complex type definition, the spec doesn't specify that it's scope is set to that of the complex type. There may be a similar problem for elements/element groups as well. See: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema- comments/2001OctDec/0209.html
