Hi, I suggest that 1.1 have a ddate data type with a delimeter facet. That way the delimeter can be nothing, / or -. The current date format with the the dash is problematic. I have having to write complex nasty regex patterns to test all possible valid years and handle leap years and non-leap leap year exceptions. Also there should be a way to build a date from component dates like month + year so the order of the date is customizable. I think having a customizable date will vastly improve the XML schema. There are lots of people who have custom code to validate dates. Currently anyone who has already written code to handle validation is still better off with custom code in regards to date validation. I think this is an impediment to wide spread schema adoption. thanks, Dhruv ___________________________________________________ Check-out GO.com GO get your free GO E-Mail account with expanded storage of 6 MB! http://mail.go.com
