Equality of items of different numeric types

Per Henry Thompson's request on xmlschema-dev@w3.org please find attached for your consideration an e-mail and paper regarding this subject that I prepared for the latest release of the XBRL specification.

This is substantially what I expect be included in the public working draft of the next XBRL specificaion update due to be released in the next few days.
