XML Schema Part 0 erronous example

In table 1, the 6th row (elements (0, 1)-, 37 and attributes optional,-,37):

The note is not correct, as it says that for both, attributes and elements,
this case means that the defualt value is used if it doesn't appear. This is
wrong, because for a default value to be used for an element, the element
should appear, but be empty. The note of the second row is correct though,
although the only difference is the maxOccurs attribute between both cases
for elements.

This could be confusing for a newbie...
