Hi,
The question (may predefined list datatypes use a pattern facet?) has
been asked a couple of time:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema-comments/2001AprJun/0044.html
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema-comments/2001AprJun/0217.html
And has a partial answer:
http://www.w3.org/2001/05/xmlschema-rec-comments#pfipattern
"Resolution
An erratum will be created to clarify the semantics of pattern for lists
(the pattern applies to the whole list). The erratum will also add the
pattern facet to the datatypes listed."
But... does this also apply to the predefined list datatypes?
If yes, both the prose and the schema for schema should be updated.
Thanks
Eric
