Response to LC-10: Clarify the exposition of identity-constraint tables

Mary,

The W3C XML Schema Working Group has spent the last several months
working through the comments received from the public on the last-call
draft of the XML Schema specification. We thank you for the comments
you made on our specification before our last-call comment period, and
want to make sure you know that these, and all comments received
during the last-call comment period have been recorded in our last-call
issues list (http://www.w3.org/2000/05/12-xmlschema-lcissues).

Among other issues, you raised the point registered as issue LC-10,
which had two parts:

> Part 1.
> A request to review the example in the attached text
> file. Please confirm that this example is correct w.r.t. the
> definition above. ...

> Part 2
> A question and a suggestion follow.

Henry Thompson sent confirmation and answered the question in two
messages:

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema-comments/2000AprJun/0005.html

On the suggestion for clarification, the XML Schema WG agreed to
a reformulation of the rules in Structures section 3.10
http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-1/

and we hope you find this much clearer.

It would be helpful to us to know whether you are satisfied with the
decision taken by the XML Schema WG on this issue, or wish your
dissent from the WG's decision to be recorded for consideration by
the Director of the W3C.

  David
